If you are 12 or younger, I want you to ask your parents before you watch this video, especially any young men out there, ok? I don't know how to rate this post, but the video will make your parents angry if I don't warn you of this, ok?
I have seen even more reason to pray for the media world in this video. Miley Cyrus is 17 years old! Whether this video was her choice or not there must have been a reason for her to make this video and whatever that reason, she has to be hurting! I want to remind everyone who reads this to pray for Miley Cyrus fervently! Pray for all of them.
God has got to have a purpose for allowing this, and I know this kind of thing hurts him too. To watch his children, his little princesses turn themselves into sex symbols and show themselves off to the world in this way.
Lady Gaga, Bionce, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Winona Ryder, Mary-Kate and Ashley, Jessica Simpson, Miley Cyrus and so many others are stuck in this world and probably don't know how to get out, or even want to get out yet. And there are some who seem to be trying to find a way to join that world, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift...to name a few. Why does fame have to include this? Why do we let our stars rise and then exploit them in this way? Why do we break them down when they no longer satisfy our standards? This has to stop! And why do we allow our children to watch what they do? Why are they the world's role models? Christians, we need to rise up! We need to set the new standard, instead of sitting back and criticizing! We need to take action! Pray actively, and send our own missionaries into that place, to be witnesses. We have been commissioned to be the salt and light of the earth. Everyone jumps at the chance to serve the poor in Africa, Mexico, build homes, dig wells, and it is all a part of the commissioning. But why do we all shy away from the media world? There is strength in numbers and Christians are a great number! Any missionary there will NEVER be alone, so Go! And if you CAN'T, then keep praying for those who can and do and will! If we are an army, I think now is the time for a revolution! In the words of Switchfoot, Love is a movement! Love is a revolution!
To all those who are already putting themselves into that world, we support you and love you and pray for you. And many of us, as directed by God will join you, whether it be soon, or later.
I recognise too, that some of you are not called to this world of media, but for those of you who are, or do not know but feel it tugging on your heart, pray unceasingly and listen for God's direction! And remember, if you are called anywhere, God will make a way for it to happen! So get excited for wherever you are called and for where others are called, because you are being witnesses to the world and no matter where you are, you have the opportunity to serve him and be an effective witness of his love, grace, mercy and ultimately, salvation!
Matthew 5:13-16 "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
Matthew 8:1-3 When he came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean." Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.
Matthew 9:35-38 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

Matthew 18:10-14 "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. what do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost."
